The seasons come to life along the converted railway beds of the Great Allegheny Passage, a 318 mile system of biking and hiking trails. There are no tall buildings to obscure your view or traffic noise to block out the sights and sounds of Mother Nature.

The Allegheny Bike Trail runs all the way from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. Ohiopyle is lucky enough to have it go from end to end of our park along side the Youghiogheny River. Offering great views of the river and surrounding areas, the Allegheny Bike Trail is second only to rafting for the number of tourists coming to Ohiopyle. Tens of thousands of people bike on the bike trail in Ohiopyle every year. If you plan on visiting Ohiopyle to bike on the Allegheny Bike Trail there are a few things to know.

The riverside trails are relatively flat, (approximate 3% grade) which makes for easy pedaling for all ages and athletic abilities. The trails are marked every mile for your convenience. Ride as far as you like before returning to home base in Ohiopyle. Arrangements can be made to return bikes after hours for evening rides. We rent bikes of all sizes for all ages. We even have pull-along carts for the young ones. When you are ready to take on a biking experience in Ohiopyle, make sure to stop by White Water Adventurers for your bike needs. Reservations are highly recommended.
